Karl joined CSaP in September 2022 as part of a 3-month internship.

He is a graduate student of Responsibility in Science, Engineering and Technology at the department of Science, Technology and Society at the Technical University of Munich. His interests lie in the ethics of artificial intelligence, the governance of science, and innovation ecosystems. He also researches issues in science communication and bioethics.

Previously, Karl had completed his BSc in Mechanical Engineering at the American University of Beirut with a minor in Social and Political Theory. Afterwards, he had a seven-year career in oil and gas between Lebanon and Nigeria, before deciding to pursue a higher education degree in Science and Technology Studies.
