Dr Kendra Strauss is a University Associate Professor in the Department of Geography at the University of Cambridge. She is also a Fellow and Director of Studies for Geography at Robinson College. She is a feminist economic geographer interested in constructions of risk, choice and responsibility in relation to employment and welfare.

Working at the intersection of political economy, feminist theory, and economic and labour geographies, her research explores processes of labour market change, new forms of unfreedom, and the intensification of social reproduction. She is also interested in how theories of decision-making and models of economic rationality relate to the individualisation of risk (especially in relation to occupational pensions systems).
