Laura studied a four year integrated master’s degree in Chemistry with Forensic Investigation at the University of Surrey. Laura began her career as a forensic practitioner working in the Drugs Department for LGC Forensics. She has given expert witness testimonies in court and later specialised in the estimation of cannabis cultivation yields.

Laura has also worked for Thames Valley Police in the Forensic Investigation Unit. Laura’s role included the chemical enhancement of fingermarks from crime scene exhibits. Currently Laura works for the Home Office Centre for Applied Science and Technology as a Scientific Officer.
