Marli is a dedicated civil servant with a diverse background spanning the healthcare and life sciences sectors, both in Government and the private sector. She has a background in biochemical engineering, having subsequently worked in strategy consulting for a variety of life sciences companies in the UK and internationally.

Transitioning to the civil service, Marli has contributed significantly to public policy within the Department of Health and Social Care. Her roles have been varied, covering commercial aspects, medicines pricing, policy implementation, social prescribing, and primary care strategy.

Currently, Marli is focused on general practice strategy, where she plays a crucial role in shaping the future of NHS primary care services.
