Programme Director for Defence and Security, Wilton Park

Olivier Weatherston is a defence and security professional whose experience includes time in academic, think-tank, private sector and government roles. He is currently Programme Director for Defence and Security at Wilton Park, an agency of the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office responsible for convening policy research conferences, strategy making forums and diplomatic roundtables on behalf of the UK government and other partners.

Olivier’s part-time post-graduate research examines non-state groups and contemporary conflict, examining how British, French and American counter-terrorism strategy, policy and operations have evolved, covering a period from the late 1970s to present.
