Bioinformatics Director, Innovation Forum
Dr Parthiban Vijayarangakannan is an entrepreneur and a consultant who specialises in IT, bioinformatics and big-data solutions and services. He is the founder and CEO of Cambridgene, a company that offers 'omics and clinical data analysis services for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and healthcare industry with a particular focus on large-scale genomic, next-generation sequencing data.
He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute in Cambridge, UK. As part of academic projects (DDD, UK10K, etc.), he has handled more than 10,000 patients' genomic data that offered diagnosis for a range of diseases. He has worked as a consulting project manager for Oxbridge Biotechnology Roundtable and offered innovative strategic business solutions for a wide range of industries.
He has contributed to various academic societies and organised conferences and events worldwide. He has also served as the president of the ISCB student council and represented them in the ISCB board of directors. Currently, he is the Bioinformatics Director in the Innovation Forum in Cambridge.
