Professor in Computational Biology, Computer Laboratory, University of Cambridge
Dr Pietro Lio' is a Professor in Computational Biology in the Computer Laboratory at the University of Cambridge. He is a member of the Artificial Intelligence group. His research focuses on bioinformatics, systems biology, modelling, statistical mechanics and neural circuits.
He is currently modelling biological processes on networks; modelling stem cells; developing transcription and phylogenetic applications on a grid environment. He is also interested in bio-inspired design of wireless networks; epidemiological networks.
Dr Lio' holds a PhD in Complex Systems and Non Linear Dynamics from the University of Firenze and one in (Theoretical) Genetics from the University of Pavia.
