Richella graduated in medicine from University College Cork (Ireland) in 2004, and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians (Ireland) in 2007. She moved to Cambridge in 2010 to commence integrated academic and clinical training in palliative medicine as an Academic Clinical Fellow. She is joining the Arthur Rank Hospice, Cambridge, as consultant in 2019.
