Stephen is a Chartered Town Planner with over 35 years experience in public practice across 9 separate local planning authorities. For the last 7 years, he has been the Chief Planner for Cambridge City and South Cambridgeshire District Councils, leading an Award Winning “Shared” Planning Service of nearly 140 professional and technical staff, planning for and managing growth across the Greater Cambridge area.
The built environment plays a significant role in people’s lives and impacts their health and well-being. Bringing local public health and spatial planning considerations together can help Greater Cambridge evolve in a way that supports community health (physical, social, and mental well-being).
The Centre for Science and Policy is organising a workshop to discuss how to strengthen links between the University of Cambridge, Cambridgeshire County Council, South Cambs District Council, Cambridge City Council, and the LEP.
