Wayne Williams was previously head of the policy branch at UK Research and Innovation.

Prior to that, Wayne worked across HMG at the Home Office, FCO and at Cabinet Office. He has also worked for a technology start-up and in the financial sector. Wayne read Physics and Philosophy at the University of York and holds a PhD in theoretical physics from Imperial College London.
