The Importance of Social Infrastructure for Policy Making
The Centre for Science and Policy continued its series of in-person Policy Fellows seminars held in collaboration with the British Academy on 17 November 2022, where researchers from the University of Cambridge’s Bennett Institute for Public Policy and the Institute for Community Studies presented their work on the ways that communities define social infrastructure and how this can inform UK policymakers. Trust and ambition - the Cambridge Zero Policy Forum analyse COP27
In November 2022, members of the Cambridge Zero Policy Forum gathered at Darwin College, Cambridge to discuss the outcomes of COP27. Several members of the Forum attended the COP in person, which was held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. Others chose to attend online, and some closely followed reports in their specialist areas.

The challenges and opportunities of reaching net zero in the health service
Dr Nick Watts, Chief Sustainability Officer for NHS England, met with the Cambridge Zero Policy Forum to discuss how the NHS can approach achieving net zero carbon emissions.
