Andrew Kaye is Health, International and Social Science Team Leader at the Government Office For Science.

Previously, he was head of the Covid-19 Science Advice Team at the Government Office for Science, where his responsibilities included coordinating scientific inputs into meetings of the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE). His previous work for the Government Office for Science has included being Head of International Resilience – focusing on developing links to science emergency advice mechanisms overseas and leading the SAGE secretariat – and leading projects on emerging technologies and critical infrastructure. He has worked in the Civil Service since 2004, primarily as a speech writer for Cabinet ministers. Before joining the Civil Service, Andrew lectured in US history at the universities of Newcastle and Durham. He has a PhD in history from Cambridge University and is a frequent speaker at the Cambridge University Science and Policy Exchange (CUSPE).

    CSaP annual meeting & reception 2021

    On 21 October 2021, CSaP hosted its first in-person networking event since the COVID-19 pandemic began. The annual meeting and reception, held at the Royal Academy of Engineering in London, provided an opportunity for 115 public policy professionals, industry leaders, and researchers to meet and share their experiences to improve decision-making.
