James Palmer is carrying out research on the CSaP study of the changing role of Chief Scientific Advisers, and also on the CSaP Sciencewise-ERC Science and Policy Horizon Scanning project.

James is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Geography at the University of Cambridge. His research examines the interactions of knowledge and power in the environmental policymaking process, focusing specifically upon contemporary developments in the European Union's biofuels policy.
