UK Government Adviser, Governing Council, The Productivity Institute
Dame Kate Barker CBE is the Chair of the Universities Superannuation Scheme and an Independent Commissioner for the Geospatial Commission, an expert committee that sets the UK’s geospatial strategy and promotes the best use of location data. She is also Chair of the Governing Council for The Productivity Institute.
Previously, she was Chair of the Industrial Strategy Commission and a non-executive member of the UK Government’s Office for Budget Responsibility and Chair of the Northern Ireland Economic Advisory Group. She was also Chair of the Advisory Board of the Centre for Business Research at the University of Cambridge and a member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of England.
