Events Coordinator, Centre for Science and Policy

Laura is the Events Coordinator for CSaP. She is responsible for organising events such as Policy Workshops, Distinguished Lectures, Professional Development Policy Seminars, Conferences, and network-building events to deliver of the Centre's engagement mission.

Prior to joining CSaP Laura worked for the University of Cambridge’s Development and Alumni Relations office as an Events assistant, helping organising UK and International fundraising and alumni relations events. Laura has also previously worked for England Netball, Mott Macdonald, Capital Fireplaces and in the hospitality industry in New Zealand.

Laura has a BA in History from the University of Reading, including specialist research in race and gender in American history with focus on slavery and Black Civil Rights. Laura loves to travel, having backpacked throughout Asia and Australasia, and enjoys belly dance, and gardening including cultivating an allotment, but most of all spending time with her daughter.

    The 2024 Christ's College Climate lecture was given by Sir Patrick Vallance, Chair of The Natural History Museum, and former Chief Scientific Adviser. His lecture explores the inextricably linked challenges of biodiversity loss and climate change.
