Rebecca Venn is the Deputy Director for Infrastructure Partnerships at the Department for Business and Trade where she shapes the UK's approach to infrastructure project and programme partnerships internationally, bringing together the best of the UK public and private sector to support UK growth and deliver better outcomes for citizens.
Since joining the Department in 2020 Rebecca has led the Department’s approach to Government-to-Government agreements, establishing the UK’s first G2G team to deliver infrastructure partnerships with other governments alongside UK private sector expertise. Notably Rebecca led a team that successfully secured a G2G agreement to support the reconstruction of vital infrastructure in Peru following el Niño and has established partnerships as a key delivery lever for UK infrastructure exports.
Rebecca has a keen interest in Latin America having worked across the continent, and in supporting of UK exports through innovative delivery models. Prior to joining DBT Rebecca led the establishment of Crossrail International, a Government Advisory Company, where she was Latin America Director from 2017-2020. Prior to this Rebecca held a number of roles at the Department for Transport across Private Office, Rail, Aviation and Corporate Finance, as well as notably leading an agency's expansion into Latin America in support of the automotive sector.
Rebecca read Modern Languages at Durham University before qualifying as a management accountant.
