Scott Hosking is a Global Climate Scientist at British Antarctic Survey. His research focuses on machine learning techniques on large data sets, with further interests in how extreme weather events impact supply chains and infrastructure, and atmospheric teleconnections between the tropics and the polar regions.

Scott is a member of a variety of organisations, the Cambridge Earth System Science NERC DTP, the Committee Secretary for Global Environmental Research Committee based at The Royal Society, and an Associate Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society. His research has been published in journals including Geophysical Research Letters, and Journal of Climate.
