Simon Baugh was appointed the Chief Executive of Government Communications in October 2021. In this role he is responsible for:

  • Leading cross-government communications, ensuring the service that is ‘always on’ works cohesively across departments and arm’s length bodies and is responsive to the most important needs of the people it serves
  • Developing the operation and performance of the function more broadly
  • Driving the Reshaping GCS transformation programme

He has twenty years’ experience in strategy and communications roles in the public and private sectors.
