The Centre for Science and Policy has helped two Cambridge researchers to take up short-term secondments in the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.

This month, Karthik Depuru Mohan (Department of Engineering) and Dr Charlotte Lee (Department of German and Dutch) will begin work on preparing for the next government spending review and examining the benefits of investment in arts and humanities research.

Secondments offer researchers an opportunity to use their research and analytical skills to contribute to the policy making process, and helps them to gain a better understanding of how public policy intersects with research and evidence.
