This year instead of holding a one-day annual conference in London, we will be delivering a series of virtual seminars in May and June on topics that CSaP and our network have worked on over the past year. Invited experts will offer insights into some of the latest research that has the potential to inform decisions taken by policy makers.
The sixth virtual seminar in this series will be on the topic of cohesive societies with experts from the University of Kent.
Date: 17 June 2020
Time: 11:00-12:15 on Zoom
Host: Nicola Buckley
This session will include an introduction to the British Academy programme on Cohesive Societies, which has included some joint work with the Centre for Science and Policy over the last year, from Professor Dominic Abrams. We will also hear from Professor Peter Taylor-Gooby about the Covid-19 crisis and some of the inequalities across the UK.
- Professor Dominic Abrams - Professor of Social Psychology, University of Kent
- Dr Jane Kennedy - Head of Research and Data Hub, Strategic Commissioning and Partnership Development, London Borough of Newham
- Professor Peter Taylor-Gooby - Research Professor of Social Policy, University of Kent
