Group Head of Regulation, Octopus Energy

Since January 2023, Alexandra has been the Group Head of Regulation at Octopus Energy.
Prior to this, she was the Head of Regulation and Sustainability at Bulb - a fast-growing, renewable energy supplier operating in the UK, making energy cheaper, simpler and greener. Previously, Alexandra was a memeber of the social investment and finance team within the Cabinet Office. She worked on the global agenda for social investment, linking UK policy with European social business policy and work on supporting the “pioneer gap” in the social investment market.
Prior to joining the civil service, Alexandra worked as an Associate at the law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London and Paris. Before this, she worked for the ICTY in The Hague, and for a human rights academic in Sydney. Alexandra has a law degree from the University of Sydney and also attended l’Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris ("Sciences Po").
