Emily is a strategic policy leader who is passionate about sustainability and the energy transition. She is currently Deputy Director, Energy Security and previously worked on electricity networks policy at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. Prior to that, she was Head of Strategic Delivery, Smart Energy in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and Head of Sector: Energy, Manufacturing and Construction in the Cabinet Office.

Emily holds an MSc in Politics and Communications from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a BA in Politics and East European Studies from University College London (UCL). Emily is a Fellow of the RSA and a Trustee of the MS Society.

    CSaP organised this workshop in partnership with the Energy Interdisciplinary Research Centre at the University of Cambridge and the Department for Business and Trade (DBT). The event brought together stakeholders from academia, policy, and industry for a roundtable discussion under the Chatham House rule.
