Dr Graham McShane is a University Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge. His research interests include the mechanics of materials, composite and lattice materials; dynamic behaviour of blast and impact resistant structures; size dependent behaviour of crystalline materials; material characterisation at the MEMS scale; and microstructure evolution in friction welding.

He is a member of the Mechanics, Materials and Design Research Group, the Micromechanics Research Group and the Materials Research Group. He is a Fellow of Queens' College.
