Executive Director, Cambridge Real Estate Research Centre, Department of Land Economy, University of Cambridge
Nick Mansley is the Executive Director of the Cambridge Real Estate Research Centre, within the Department of Land Economy at the University of Cambridge. The Centre focuses and coordinates commercial real estate and real asset research within the Department, raising the profile of that research in the wider academic and business community and liaising with both other academic organisations and industry to ensure research is of the highest quality and has maximum impact.
The main areas of research activity relate to: the economic analysis of real estate investment; the role and performance of real assets in investment portfolios; the role of real estate in urban development and urban competitiveness; behavioural influences in real estate markets; and the impact of social, political, environmental and technological change on real estate markets.
As well as being Director of the Centre, Nick also holds several other positions. He is Special Director (Non-Exec) at Hansteen Property Unit Trust II, the Chief Executive of Cambridge Research and Investment Consultants, a Member of the Urban Land Institute Executive Committee, and the Deputy Chair of the Lord Chancellor's Strategic Investment Board (within the Ministry of Justice).
