Research Associate, Bennett Institute for Public Policy
Dr Nina Jörden is a research associate at the Bennett Institute for Public Policy and the University of Cambridge. Her research focuses on questions around the future of work: What do workers need to be resilient and productive? What will "good work" look like in the future? How can work be meaningful and meet societal needs? Nina deals with these questions in both the private and public sectors.
Her current projects explore wellbeing and productivity in the workplace, with a particular focus on hybrid/flexible work. She is also facilitating a trial of a 4-day work week in a public sector organisation.
In previous research projects, she investigated data-driven decision-making, digital information sharing between emergency services during the Covid 19 pandemic, and approaches to improve the emotional health of astronauts during space missions. Nina has worked closely with public and private organisations during her research, including the Cabinet Office, NHS England, KPMG, SAP and Roche. Nina holds a PhD in Organisational Studies from Loughborough University, an MSc in Human Resource Management from Loughborough University and a BA in Psychology and Management from the International School of Management, Germany.
