Dr. Trevelyan Wing is a Fellow of both the Centre for Geopolitics at the University of Cambridge and the Cambridge Centre for Environment, Energy and Natural Resource Governance (CEENRG). His current research centres on security and defence challenges in the greater Baltic Sea region, Northern Europe, and the High North; current political developments in Europe and North America, with a particular focus on the US, Germany, the Nordics, Baltics, and the evolving state of transatlantic relations; and pressing issues related to the net-zero transition and their energy security implications. He is the recipient of a DAAD award from the German government and is a former Research Associate of the University of Heidelberg’s Institute for Political Science and Zukunftskolleg Fellow of the Heidelberg Centre for the Environment. In 2020, Dr. Wing was named a ‘Young Leader’ and one of ‘the most promising and passionate…change-makers of 30 years or younger’ by EUROCITIES and Urban Future for his work on the low-carbon transition. A native of New England, he holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge, an MPhil from the University of Oxford, and a BA from Dartmouth College.
