Research Associate, Computer Laboratory, University of Cambridge
Dr David Modic is a Research Associate in the Computer Laboratory at the University of Cambridge. His research interests include online deception, psychology of persuasion, internet fraud and anti-malware initiatives.
He is currently involved in a project developing robust experimental framework, which will initially be good at detecting and encouraging deceptive actions and once this framework is established, he will utilize it to frame deception in a way that would increase resistance to deception. He is also interested in various anti-malware mechanisms and the psychology behind improving them, and in social psychological factors that are salient in increasing compliance across contexts.
In 2013 Dr Modic completed his PhD in Psychology at the University of Exeter, where he is now an Honorary University Fellow
