Policy Intern (April - July 2024)

Jacob is DPhil student in Chemical Biology at the University of Oxford and was a policy intern at the Centre for Science and Policy (CSaP) from April to July 2024, funded by the Wellcome Trust. His research focuses on the development of novel antimicrobials using both medicinal chemistry and chemical biology techniques at the Ineos Oxford Institute for Antimicrobial Research and the Department of Pharmacology. Jacob is interested in public policy for tackling Antimicrobial Resistance and other global health challenges.

Prior to starting his DPhil, Jacob worked as a graduate research assistant at the University of Exeter. He holds an MSci in Natural Sciences from the University of Durham.
