Professor John Rallison Professor of Fluid Dynamics in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, and a former Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education at the University of Cambridge. His research is principally concerned with the dynamics of elastic liquids and of viscous liquids.

Professor Rallison is a Fellow of Trinity College, where he was previously Senior Tutor; he also served as Director of The Isaac Newton Trust for 8 years. The Trust administers the Cambridge bursary scheme, and also makes grants for research purposes within the University.
