Professor in Operations Management, Judge Business School, University of Cambridge
Kishore Sengupta is a Professor in Operations Management at the Judge Business School. His research, teaching and consulting interests focus on managerial decision making in complex dynamic environments. The specific contexts consist of complex projects, high-performance teams and collaboration, and managing complex organizations.
Before coming to Cambridge, Kishore held academic positions at INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France (2001-2014), the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California, USA (1989-2000), and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (1996-1998). He has also worked at the AT&T Network Software Center (now Lucent Technologies) and Ernst & Young. Kishore has served as advisor on complex projects with large business organizations, NASA, and the U.S. Government Department of Defense. His consulting activities involve organizations in USA, Asia and Europe.
Kishore’s published work in the academic and business literatures includes a widely acclaimed article in the Harvard Business Review (February 2008) on how managers fail to learn from experience.
