Dr Gos Micklem is Director of the Cambridge Computational Biology Institute and Group Leader of the Bioinformatics and Genomics Group in the Department of Genetics at the University of Cambridge. His group uses computational and experimental methods to investigate basic biological processes. They also build databases to exploit the large volumes of data being generated by modern biology.

His research interests include: Integration and analysis of diverse large-scale genomics datasets; Modelling of developmental processes; Small RNA function; Characterising transcriptional control networks; and Synthetic biology.

Dr Micklem is also involved in cancer biology through collaboration with Bertie Gottgens of the CIMR.
